3 months | 13 weeks

Goodness, three months has just flown by! You FINALLY started smiling and cooing towards the end of this month. You had us worried for awhile, but I guess you just like to do things in your own time. You have sporadically started to sleep through the night. You even did a three night in a row stretch which made your mommy very happy!! You chose my birthday {your 3 month birthday} to sleep from 8:30-7!!} What a wonderful present that was! You spit up SO much! We usually go through most of our bibs and burp clothes throughout the course of a day and possible an outfit change or two for both you and me! Good thing for washer machines. Your brothers are so sweet with you! Cole will even wipe the spit up from your mouth if he notices it. Now that is love. Your neck muscles are getting stronger and stronger! You don’t mind tummy time while you watch your brothers play, but when you are finished you let us know. To say you are a chunk is an understatement! You love your bottles! You drink one every 3.5 hours and they are usually around 6 oz each. Toward the end of the month you were even able to polish off an easy 8 oz. Good thing I love a boy with some rolls because you have plenty for me to love on. Your sweet little giggles are amazing. Music to my ears. When you wake up, I love to see you light up with the sight of my face. You know who your mommy is. We all love so much little man!

a party to end all parties

Well, I turned 30 last week! Eeek!! To put it mildly we had a BLAST! For the past month or so my friends and husband were in party planning mode! All I knew was to be ready by 7 pm. My amazing babysitter who has moved away even drove home to watch my boys for the night! At 7:00 a party bus pulled up to our house and I walked on to find my brother had flown in from California to surprise me!!! I haven’t seen him since he moved back home last June. My husband was full of surprises! ALL of my favorite people were on that bus! We had about 20 couples that came out to celebrate my birthday. I felt so much love! The bus took us to a yummy dinner at Nick and Sam’s grill and then next door was a piano bar. I LOVE me some piano bar! They even had me go on stage and sit on the piano as they sang me a song about menopause! ha! There was a delicious chevron designed cake with my favorite lemon that my friends ordered! We partied the night away. Between the two cameras we had that night there were around 600 pictures taken! Here are just a few that I think everyone would be okay with me sharing on this little blog of mine. A HUGE thank you to my amazing husband for throwing me the BEST 30th birthday party! I have to also thank my girls, Kylie and Amanda for helping him plan it! Y’all did an amazing job! One of the husbands commented, “it’s a good thing you only turn 30 once, because I don’t think I could handle this again!” Ya, it pretty much sums up our night. We had a fabulous time just being together! Thank you everyone for making me feel so loved!!

THIRTY!!!

This girl right here is now the big 3-0!! My fabulous evening included 20 of my closest friends…a surprise visit from my brother…a party bus…and singing on a piano!! While I finish sorting through the 500+ pictures my friends and I took throughout the night, I will leave you with just a few pictures taken before we left! Details and picture overload to come….

Crying babies

I recently posted a picture on instagram of me with my boys. 2 out of 4 of us crying/smiling isn't bad. Well, my dad came to visit and really wanted a picture of his own with the boys!

Words can’t describe how I feel about these three boys! I know I am their mom, but I think they are the CUTEST little guys on the face of this earth! They complete me. I can’t get enough of these faces.

That’s how we roll around here! Oh, and the popped collar. Cole woke up from naptime dressed in this snazzy outfit for Grandpa’s birthday! Oh, boy! I think he may have his Uncle Chris’ sense of fashion. My brother was a hot mess growing up. He paired stripes with plaids almost on a daily basis.

i LOVE you

Thanks to my girl, Kylie, and Pinterest we did this adorable little photo shoot with our babies! At first we thought about including the big kids, but then we realized why torture ourselves! How cute are these little cuties? Sweet Hayden is just 2 months older than Gavin. We think they make a pretty cute couple! Blake was off with daddy running some top secret errands so he wasn’t able to be in the group picture. He would have been the most difficult to throw in there, so it was better off that way. I’m sure we will have many future pictures of these two together.

Really, Rosie?

This is what you are afraid of? Ya, I guess I can see what you mean. That sweet smile and contagious laugh is pretty darn scary. You should be ashamed of yourself Rosie O'Donnell. I’m completely disgusted with the interview that Chelsea Handler did with Rosie. Where they BOTH talked horrible about little people. Insert any other disability and there would be complete outrage by the American people. You think Cole chose to have Achondroplasia? Do you think he chose to be shorter than everyone else? What about the countless doctors appointments he has had or the medical procedures he has had to endure? Thanks to people like you and opinions of complete ignorance, you are making my child's life that much harder to navigate. Instead of embracing our differences, which you of all people should understand being an overweight gay woman. We are all different and that is what makes us beautiful. This little boy has taught me more about acceptance in his short four years, than you have learned your entire life. I feel sorry for people like you because you are missing out on some pretty amazing people!

On Saturday, Brooks and Cole spent the afternoon together. They got their haircuts, went to the bbq store, had lunch at Raising Canes and went shopping for some new kids club furniture at the gym. While they were out spending some daddy/son time together, I got to spend some QT with my babies. Blake is such a little LOVE and loves to kiss baby Gavin. Blake is kind of a hot mess in these pictures since I hadn’t brushed his hair yet, but these are real life. This is usually how we spend our time together. Playing upstairs in the playroom. I can’t wait to see this little guy running and playing with his older brothers.
