Cole's Newest trick almost perfected!

That's right! Cole is starting to really hold his head up and like it! We have been practicing every day. He gets so happy when he does it. You can see the accomplishment he feels! Before, Cole would cry when we would practice, but now he gets a big ole grin like "hey I'm pretty Cool!" I think Cole is even TRYING to role over. He hasn't done it from his back to his belly, but he has rolled over from his belly to his back (does that make sense?) My husband, Brooks, thinks he's rolling over from the momentum of us pushing him onto his tummy, but I think otherwise :) It's so exciting to experience these milestones with Cole! We look forward to the next one and the next one. I guess throughout his life we will always be experiencing another milestone. The beauty of being a parent- always having something to look forward to.
On a side note... I took Cole to the doctor today. He's been so congested and not himself. He has Bronchiolitis, which is a lung infection caused by a virus. They tested him for RSV, but thankfully he doesn't have it! The only thing to do is breathing treatments with a nebulizer (oh, he enjoys that...ya right!) and saline drops to try and clear him up! Hopefully he will get better soon! Mom and Dad need their rest at night! Cole is having a hard time sleeping at night. He can't breath through his nose so it wakes him up at night which then wakes us up at night. A never ending cycle! Ugghhh!!

Colds are the worst! Even at 18months my girls still wake up for comfort when they can't breathe through there noses. Last winter they both had RSV and it was horrible. I'm so glad for you that Cole doesn't have it. Sitting in a steamy bathroom for a bit or a humidifier in his room might help him sleep better, too. Those saline drops do work wonders, though! Yay for him rolling over! Neither of my girls mastered that one until just before 6 months :)

GOOD JOB Cole!! We have a saying for our babies..."Their big heads are VERY helpful in accomplishing milestones"! You will find him using it to roll over, pull himself up. It is amazing to watch! Good work sweetie!!

Prop his matress up where his head is with a pillow or folded blanket underneath... rub johnsons baby vapor rub on his chest...and use one of those plug ins that have menthol vapors. They are for babies and look like Glad Plug Ins. Those are the things I do with Allie when she is stuffy...but you prolly already tried them sooooooooo... just thought Id pass it on to you incase you havent. They've seen to help Jason and I get some sleep when she's sick.

Hope he feels better soon! Babies just dont deserve to be sick, poor thing!
