friends are the best valentines...

Cole and I were invited to a Valentine's Day party at Gymboree with some friends and we jumped at the chance!

We got to hang out with a few of Cole's favorite friends and meet a few new ones. Now, Cole is so not the adventerous kid. He is not the first one to jump into the fun...he is not the first one to try something new and he is for sure not the first one to leave mommies arms, but we had so much fun anyway. We played musical intruments....

Cole painted his very first art project which was a picture frame! What do you think? The next picasso? I think so too!

{definitely microwave worthy art...our stainless steel fridge isn't magnetic...darn!}

He had a little snack..well...he didn't want the snack, but he LOVED his capri sun! I never let Cole drink one on his own for obvious reasons, but today I was feeling the love and he was already a mess from the paint so I thought what the heck...

The results... Are you kidding me??! Not even a drop on him! He was so darn good with that thing. He gently held it and sipped from the straw. Then he would place it back on the table...then pick it up and have another drink! I was such a proud mama and it just goes to show that if you give them the opportunity to try new things they may just surprise you.

After snack time was a lights out with slow music play...let's just say that neither Cole OR Jorja appreciated this and they were more than happy when we moved on to a new activity.

We had so much fun with old friends and meeting new ones! We ended the evening eating dinner with 5 other mamas and their little ones...who by the way are all right around Cole's age! Thank you so much for including us in your special day with your special friends!!

Pres and COle are so alike-Pres is not the first kid ever to jump into the action. He holds back, observes, decides if the kids are acting mature enough for him....Love Cole's shirt. In that first pic he looks so tall! Did he have a spurt recently?

What a fun activity for Valentine's Day! I love his t-shirt - too cute! Caty is a big fan of Capri Suns! Sucks them down like there's no tomorrow. What a cute art project, if only you could hang it on the fridge. My parents fridge isn't stainless steel, but it still doesn't have a magnetic front. They just tape everything up that Caty makes them.
