birthday gifts for the birthday boy!

For Cole’s birthday, daddy and I got him his very own train table! He was thrilled! He could hardly stand it while he waited for it to be put together. Every time we would put a piece of track down, his little train would already be “choo chooing” down it! I bought these little clips that hold the track together and lets just say that these are a life saver! I need to buy a few more, but overall they are keeping this thing together so I don’t have to put this back together every night! Good thing it came with directions because you pretty much need a degree in engineering to put it together! Thankfully my FIL helped!IMG_9336IMG_9329IMG_9331IMG_9339IMG_9330   The morning of his birthday he got his very own police car from Mimi and Grandpa {my parents}. He is in love with this car! It has a walkie talkie that makes siren noises which thinks is pretty neat. He opens the door…takes a seat and closes the door. Such a cutie! Too bad his little feet don’t quite touch the floor, but that doesn’t slow him down! He’ll just get out and push it where he wants it to be and then hops right back inside!

Then he got a plasma car from Nana and Grandpa…are you seeing a theme here? He tries to wiggle his way around the house on that one!IMG_9377

The Geyer family {Brooks’ sister’s family} got him the Melissa and Doug train. This is really neat because takes one of his favorite toys {a train} and makes it educational! He really loves it!IMG_9421
After his party we opened all of his gifts from his friends and lets just say that he is one lucky boy! There were a ton of cars & trains, books, music, play doh, puzzles and so much more! We put most of it away so that over the next few weeks he will have a new toy to play with!

Katie, I did not get to comment on your last post because I am behind but let me tell you-you are one talented girl! You have such a gift and I think you should seriously start thinking about your own party planning business. You are amazing!
And while I am praising the Johnson family, let's praise you and Brooks for creating a gorgeous child. It has been such a blessing watching Cole grow up these past two years and thank you for sharing him with us. I know at times there are people that are ignorant and they may try to hurt your feelings, but feel sorry for them that they cannot see the beauty in things. Enjoy all the new toys. Seems like train sets are the rage!!!! Hee hee

What a fun Birthday! Where did you get those links for your tracks? I have to get some, ours are all over the house. You are amazing! Look at that fun party. I'm struggling just to plan the cake for Ruger's party!

Katie - you threw a wonderful party, do you want to come to WV to help with Taylor's? :) Cole is so cute playing with his train, and good score on the clips - we had a table like that and the kids were always tearing the track apart. How is the plasma car?
