We took the family up to The Big Orange Pumpkin Patch this weekend! It’s always extra fun when we get to bring daddy along with us since we normally do lots of things like this during the weekday. Cole has been dying to see “aminals” lately so we thought this would be the perfect outing! The entire drive up to the farm he kept telling us that he was going to pet the elephant and the zebra….hmmm, good thing he wasn’t too disappointed when we got there and all that was around was a few cows, some goats, sheep and chickens. nonetheless he was so excited to get to feed the animals! The cow was a little intimidating for him so he stuck to the smaller animals. I couldn’t believe that he let the goats eat out of his hand!! He thought it was hilarious! Next up on the days activities was the hay ride! Cole doesn’t do too well in the patience department so waiting in line was a little slow for him. He kept wanting to go back and see the animals again, but when he saw that we were going to ride in the back of a tractor he forgot all about those animals! Cole hung out in dad’s lap the entire ride since it was so crowded. We rode out around a little lake and they had giant bales of hay painted as different animals. He thought that was fun and loved shouting out which animal it was. The last item on our list was some pictures in the pumpkins. Cole is not one for a posed picture so this was the best I got of my two boys together. At least he will oblige me and hold on to his little brother. He is giving me the look of “ok, hurry up and take the picture so I can get back to the animals” look. Our best attempt at a family picture.
We found a quiet little place to sit down and eat some lunch while Cole ran around. It was the perfect day to go to the pumpkin patch…too bad the rest of Dallas had the same idea.
